Kitney Spears is a hard nut to crack.  She is Miss independent likes to be touched on her own terms.  I have been working with her to realise that people are pretty cool and that she doesn’t need to be scared. At the moment I think she is hiding behind her sisters so is not able to fully come out of her shell, but I know she really wants to but she just needs time to adjust to new people.

Initially she would do best a small room where she has to interact with you and there are no hiding places.

Kitney Spears will have a cuddle and will purr when she sits in your lap – you just have to catch her first and let her realise that laps and people are cool. She has an amazing purr!  If want a bit of a project then Kitney Spears will reward you with her love and affection but you just have to get through her tough exterior. She is not aggressive at all just unsure of people.

They say people can live up to their names and Clawdear Felinda Aowyn Wonderpuss has a lot to live up to.  She is another hard nut to crack. She is Miss independent and likes to be touched on her own terms.  She is more friendly than her sister Kitney Spears but she still wants you to work for her attention.  She would be great in a small room with no hiding spots. When you catch her she gives the best cuddles and she will wrap her arm around you as she purrs in your lap.  She also likes to be up high on your shoulder so she can get the best views.  Clawdear will reward you with cuddles she will just take some time to make sure that she trusts you

I am very shy sometimes. I like to be left to look at my reflection I also from time to time get a boost of energy and run around like crazy. With my brother Blackie, we are double trouble but so much fun we love to run around , jump , dive and catch flies. We are not much of lap cats but I think we are slowly warming up to being patted. We are partners in crime and are never far away from each other.

We can go either together or seperately to our new homes.

Chappy

So this is our Chappy. He sports the rugged good looks of an 'outdoor bloke'. A slightly tatty ear and scarred nose are testament to his life of making it on his own.

Chaps was found sheltering in the woodshed of one of our supporters. How did he know where to come we wonder? Is there a secret online directory for cats needing to find woodsheds belonging to cat people? Who knows, but however he got there it was undoubtedly a pretty good decision on his part!

One thing was sure, he didn't have a home of his own and life was taking a toll. The decision was pretty easy and Chappy was taken on by Outpawed and his transformation began. From thin and straggly he's morphed into soft and delicious. From not wanting a bar of humans he's come to put his trust in his foster's care. He went along with having his 'bloke operation', being vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd, de-wormed, and has accepted being 'loved on' for the past several months. Pretty impressive considering his past.

Now Chaps isn't your typical small and cute youngster - he's more your 'grown up with life experience' sort of cat. He's of kind character whose more than happy to schmooze around your legs and push his face into your hand for a rub and a stroke. He enjoys a brush and has learnt the fun in play. He's gentle and accepting of other cats (and small dogs). He'll talk to you to greet you and sit patiently waiting for attention. He's a purfectly adorable bloke and ready now to meet his special human(s) and be part of a real home. Ideally he'll have safe access to the outdoors so he can sleep in the sun, which he loves. He's no fuss. Above all he needs quiet dependability in a home where his dinners are guaranteed and care and love are a given.

If Chappy sounds like your kind of cat then raise your hand! He'd love to meet you!

Check out our Cats in Palmy! We offer Zoom meetings and may be able to assist bringing them to Wellington.
