Twinkles
Twinkles has struggled with her breathing since she arrived at Outpawed. Her difficulties were immediately obvious with her very noisy breathing, which is thought to be due to an obstruction in part of her upper airway. Twinkles has suffered from several airway infections, which are likely to keep coming back until her underlying problem is resolved.
Twinkles' lovely vets performed an airway examination recently but were not able to find an obvious issue in the visible parts of her upper airway. Twinkles took some time to recover from her procedure, needing some extra help with oxygen. She also had some signs concerning for pneumonia and is doing well with treatment.

We don't yet know the cause of Twinkles' obstruction, and this is something we need to investigate so we can help her get past her breathing issues and get her into a home. The next step for Twinkles is to refer her to a specialist to get a better look at her airways with a CT scan. She will need some other tests to help work out what's going on and how best to treat her. The cost to get her the tests she needs is expected to be $4 - 6k. Twinkles still needs some time to grow and recover from her current infection before we can pursue any further tests. In the meantime we need to fundraise for her medical costs.
